Wan An Exercise
To enhance public awareness of safety preparedness, the Agency, in accordance with the Implementing Regulation on Air-raid Practice, adopted an "early warning with zoning" approach. Combined with the live-fire exercises of the Han Kuang Field Training Exercise, the Wan An exercise was conducted sequentially in the northern, southern, eastern, outlying islands, and central Taiwan from July 24 to 27, 2023. Each region implemented a 30-minute alarm transmission, evacuation, and traffic control from 13:30 to 14:00 on the day of the exercise. Following the deactivation of the air- raid exercise alarm from 14:00 to 14:30, a 30-minute drill for setting up Wartime Shelter and Relief Stations for IDPs and disaster rescue was conducted. Groups, companies, factories, stations, or individuals within the exercise area failing to comply with the regulations outlined in Article 21 of the Civil Defense Act and Article 12 of the Implementing Regulation on Air-raid Practice may face fines ranging from NT$30,000 to NT$150,000 in accordance with Article 25 of the Civil Defense Act.
