Explanation of the All-out Defense Mobilization and Disaster Prevention and Rescue Exercise (No. 9 Min An) in 2023

On August 12 this year, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) held the "Briefing Press Conference of the All-out Defense Mobilization and Disaster Prevention and Rescue (Min An No. 8) Exercise for 2023" from the status as the Secretariat of All-out Defense Mobilization Preparation Work Report of the Executive Yuan to explain the schedule and ways of implementation for "Min An No.9" exercise. The purpose of which is to strengthen the disaster prevention and response measures of local government and safeguard the safety of life and property among our nationals.
"Min An No. 9" exercise this year had cited the precedent as held in conjunction with the "Disaster Prevention and Rescue Exercise" of the Executive Yuan, which is mainly to strengthen the preparation operations of local governments in facing various disasters, and review the energy integration and disaster prevention work as well as relief efficiency. The exercise is scheduled to be conducted by three municipalities including Taichung City and eight county (city) governments including Lienjiang County from April to July.
